My Blog Organizer {Found Here}

So, I found this cute binder (thanks Martha Stewart!!) at my local Staples (office supply store) and had to have it! It has a great texture to it and a fun teal color (only wish it came in PINK!!!).

After adding it to my cart, I knew I needed to add the “organization tools” to the insides. And you know what, Martha helped me with that too! With matching tab dividers, an 18-month calendar insert (a must!!), and fun filler paper! I was then ready to get organized!!

So let’s get down to the nitty gritty of blog organization. The most important part of staying organized (and stressed-less!) is having an Editorial Calendar. Remember up there I said it was a must! And it truly is. If you want to stay organized!

So what is an Editorial Calendar??

A place to put all your bloggy goodness. A schedule for your blog. Yep, your blog is going to school. 😉 An Editorial Calendar allows you to plan your posts ahead of time. If you have an idea for a blog post…plan for it. And put a date to it if need be.

Want to schedule a sponsor post? Or a giveaway? Put it on your calendar. Get it scheduled! Going on vacation? Plan for it! Ask for Guest Bloggers and add them to your calendar.

And the great part…you can always edit it! (if you use a pencil or white out or sticky notes! haha) But that’s the great thing…an Editorial Calendar is your drawing board. And you are in control of the eraser.

So, let’s talk about your tabs within your Blog Organizer. After all…you’ve got to have a place to put all those ideas swimming in your head.

Really the sky is endless as to how organized you want to be!!

The fun (and matching too!) filler paper. Has a great side area that is perforated in case you need it for a book mark or a shopping list, etc. :)

This has been a life saver for me! If I come up with an idea, I can work on my post, schedule it online and in my Editorial Calendar and track what I’ve got coming up. Or work on my idea on paper and when I’m ready to post about it, I’ve got the layout already ready to go. Perfect!

    I generally like a binder too for projects. I made one for my Amer Heart Assoc event. For the blog though I went to my iphone. I use a calendar app for my editorial calendar where I don’t pull in all my calendars, it is just for blog stuff. I have several categories in my “Things” app for ideas and to dos. Posts…read…watch…admin, etc. I’m really itching to improve the blog, so much to do but it will be tough until my Heart event is done (so much work!). I don’t watch my stats as much as I should or could because for me it takes away the enjoyment of blogging. I’ve been trying to worry less about my numbers and enjoy creating the content with the little spare time I have. Great tips…pretty binder (we don’t have staples here, wish we did, they are my fav big box office).
