#bloggingedumacation - Show your favorite bloggers some LOVE!! Learn some tips so you are a blog love pro!

We all appreciate receiving blog love. Like who doesn’t appreciate their readers reaching out and leaving comments. Or seeing our tweets being re-tweeted. Or receiving fun surprises. We all love blog love. It makes us think that what we are doing means something.

So I’ve decided to share with you some tips on how you can really show a blogger some love.

Tip 1
Subscribe to your favorite blogs either through RSS or Email or Bloglovin. Pick one that you know you’ll pay attention to and read! :) **See how I conveniently included my own links in there…lol**

Tip 2
Follow your favorite blogs across all their social media accounts! Interact with them on their social media channels. Really show your favorites that you appreciate the time they are putting into their blog/content.

Tip 3
Comment Comment Comment!! But make sure your comments are AUTHENTIC! Leaving something like “stopping by from the linkup, taylor” is not authentic. Actually read their post. Find something that you relate to and mention it in your comment. Be real. Be authentic. If you don’t have anything authentic to say about their post, just don’t say anything at all. But then go find them on twitter and tweet to them that you loved their post (but only if you really did!). If you aren’t comfortable writing a comment (maybe the post hit a little too close to home), then email the blogger. Then you can get personal without having others reading.

Tip 4
If you loved someone’s post…spread the love to all of your followers. Share!! Share!! Share!! Use those little share buttons that sit at the bottom of their posts. Pin a graphic to Pinterest. Or copy their link and send it out into the interwebs to all your people. Heck, you could even email the link to your friends! Or even better…have a conversation with your BFF and spread the love that way!
Just share! :)

So there you have it. If you do these 4 tips over and over, you will build your own community at the same time you are showing some blog love. I promise!!

I’ve really gotten better at following and commenting – and I’m working on creating some groups in my different SM resources (Twitter, FB, BlogLovin) to showcase my favorites and share easily!

I subscribed to so many blogs on Bloglovin that I’ve been trying to unfollow several so that I only am reading the ones I will be actively engaged with (several were for bulk giveaways that I will just need to stop entering if they require you to follow everyone involved). I try to comment a lot and always respond to my commenters. I am new to this so still trying to get a handle on it all, but love the blog love!

Thanks for sharing. These are great, easy to follow tips!
To show blog love, I have been trying to join more link up parties. And I go back and comment on at least two other blogs in the link up. I get disappointed though, when the host of the link up doesn’t comment on my posts. I can understand when there are 200 posts in the link up, but if you’re going to host a party and only 15 people link up, you should comment on their links. Show some love back, am I right?!

These are great tips :) It is so aggravating to get ‘self promoting’ comments. You know, the ones that have nothing to do with what you wrote, just someone saying “Hi, come check out my blog”…or “I’m following you, so come follow me back.” I usually delete those comments. I totally could be better at the last one – sharing. I pin, but I rarely share. I am going to make it a point to try to share more :)

This post is so sweet! I’m glad you put this out there. This is why I don’t leave a blog I’ve enjoyed reading without following and leaving at least one thought-out comment to start with. When you appreciate someone’s work, they deserve to know about it!

    First time visitor…found you on Pinterest! So glad I did. With the evolution of SEO and Alexa rankings, it seems to me that showing love has gotten lost in the struggle to up our own numbers. And that’s sad. So…I’m going to show love for this post by tipping it on Sverve. {are you on Sverve? I’d love to endorse you for your blogging expertise! See? More love!}

” If you don’t have anything authentic to say about their post, just don’t say anything at all.” I’ve read a lot of posts and feel bad about not commenting. It’s good to see someone say it’s OK if you don’t have anything authentic to say. Sometimes it’s even the fact that someone else has already said what I wanted to say. There needs to be a DITTO button! LOL

Hi Taylor, I found your post via Sverve and am so thankful. I am still new to the blogging scene and sometimes its hard to know what to do, how to do it and how to keep it all organized! I am trying to follow and interact with each blog I come across and find useful. Thank you so much fro a fantastic post!

These are all great suggestions. I have done many of those on several occasions. I have a select number of bloggers that I follow on a regular bases (when time permits it.)

    Amen. Amen. AMEN!
The “quantity” of posts on my blog may have drastically decreased lately, but one thing I always try to do is maintain/increase the QUALITY in which I keep in touch with bloggers and comment on their posts. It’s so important for relationships and general nice-ness. I appreciate comments on my blog posts, so I reciprocate the effort for others too! Great advice (as always). HUGS!!!!!!!

You explained the steps well. I’m on YouTube and I cannot figure out why people are so timid about joining and subscribing. There are so many advantages. It’s like a file cabinet to keep all the funny & cool video’s you watched or want to watch. To make money on your video’s you have to have a 1000 subscribers. Any ideas on how to get folks to subscribe?
